A warm fire, a steaming bowl of tortellini soup, Keith Urban on Spotify, and Scrabble…a great way to wind down winter break!

I sure do love these two people. (Maybe I should add another New Year’s resolution: work on my photography skills!)
This week, I am trying to slowly ease back into a somewhat normal routine. I mopped floors Monday for the first time in a month. After all the holiday traffic, I have to confess that we took nasty floors to a new level here at Kendallville.
In the way of New Year’s resolutions, I want to:
- read more (at least 2 books per month)
- write more (a minimum of a page a day, six days a week)
- move more (as in exercise)
- and connect more/spend more time with people I love.
I’ve seen a new trend on social media: instead of making resolutions, a person adopts a word/theme for the new year. My word/theme for 2018 is EPIC. Epic, as in Frodo and Sam marching into Mordor…and living to tell the tale.
No, there’s no rational basis for this, but I believe 2018 is going to be an awesome year!
What will 2018 look like for YOU?
